What is disordered eating?

Signs and symptoms of disordered eating may include, but are not limited to:

  • Chronic yo-yo dieting

  • Frequent weight fluctuations

  • Extremely rigid and unhealthy food and exercise regime

  • Feelings of guilt and shame when unable to maintain food and exercise habits

  • Preoccupation with food, body and exercise that causes distress and has a negative impact on quality of life

  • Compulsive or emotionally-driven eating

  • Use of compensatory measures, such as exercise, food restriction, fasting and even purging or laxative use to "make up for" food consumed

How much is each session?

  • Individual adult sessions are $150 per session.

  • We accept card, check, or cash.

Do you accept insurance?

  • At this time, we are not “in-network” with any insurance plans. Some insurance companies will provide reimbursement for services with submission of a superbill - we can help you with this.

How will we all work together?

  • There are many different types of treatment. We utilize a personalized, evidence-based, and compassionate approach to treatment which requires active participation of both the client and provider. In order for psychotherapy and nutrition counseling to be successful, you will have to work on things we talk about both in and out of sessions. With your willingness, Thrive can support you in making the necessary changes for growth.

What you can expect from us:

  • We will work together to establish your goals

  • We will strive to help you fully see your strengths and gifts and will always convey the respect and honor it is to be able to know people so deeply

  • We will be fully committed to your growth and well-being

  • We will collaborate on solutions to whatever is keeping you stuck

  • We believe that the change process and recovery are challenging, but possible and incredibly meaningful

  • We always strive to be collaborative and transparent. Each of us will share with you how we are thinking about the work we are doing and will be asking you for your feedback and input each step of the way

What we expect of you:

  • Arrive on time for scheduled appointments or cancel with a minimum of 24 hours notice

  • Keep your goals in mind during and between each session

  • Provide transparency around internal barriers to your goals

  • Actively work to change patterns in your life that are not working

  • Do agreed upon between-session assignments

  • Acknowledge your own successes and be as open as you can to feedback from us

What do I need to do before the first session?

  • Complete the intake paperwork sent to you in the client portal. Message us with any questions you may have about this

  • Think about 2-3 goals you’d like to work towards

  • At your first session we will discuss frequency of sessions, length of treatment, and goals and measures of progress
